Jean Michel Frank was an enigmatic french interior designer and furniture maker.  One of his most well known designs is the X-base desk, with designers all over the world drawing inspiration from the highly popular x shaped legs.  The simple yet iconic design has been incorporated into stools, benches, side chairs and a variety of tables.

Pictured is a working area designed by Carlos Aparicio. It features an oak writing desk designed by Jean-Michel Frank and a classic armchair by Fritz Henningsen. This project was published in the Elle Decor magazine in 2008.
