Art Deco furniture has been one of the most influential historical design styles. The use of  rich materials including brass, stainless steel, inlaid wood and lacquer accompanied by simple geometrical forms has laid the foundation for a timeless, functional, modern and elegant style.

This is a new addition to the ERA Interiors store, an art deco white matte lacquer rectangular desk, originally designed by french furniture designer Jean Pascaud.   Pascaud was known for his use of rich veneers including violetwood, palisander, and American walnut, and accenting them with parchment and galuchat or understated metal bending.  The original design of this desk featured parchment, but the client wanted a matte white lacquer finish to better match some of the other art deco furniture she had.  The desk can also be designed with a high gloss black or white lacquer finish.
