mahogany round dining table
Pictured is a 6 foot round dining table inspired by the Biedermeier style with a contemporary art deco twist. It features a solid mahogany top on a single pedestal base and can sit 6-8 people comfortably. These tables can be custom made to any size and with a larger base that supports the piece a leaf can be incorporated to extend the table.

Art deco furniture

There are varying accounts historically as to when the Art Deco period of furniture design began.  It’s generally accepted that the term came about describing the furniture design at the landmark Exposition Internationale in Paris in 1925.   It’s incredible that in just a few years Art Deco will reach the 100 year mark and thus some pieces can be considered legitimate antiques.

Some of our most popular pieces incorporate art deco elements such as the geometric base and the inlaid wood present in much of the furniture from this time period.  If you are in New York City, look no further than the top spire on the Chrysler Building or the Auditorium atrium at Radio City to see art deco elements on display.  One aspect clients often reiterate about the different deco furniture we design is that it simultaneously feels modern, eclectic and also timeless.  The shapes, if incorporated correctly, tend to maintain an original, fresh look.
